UNISSULA Expands Access to Food Security Knowledge Through Research, Education, and Community Engagement

Universitas Islam Sultan Agung (UNISSULA) is committed to supporting Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2: Zero Hunger by expanding access to knowledge, skills, and technology related to food security, nutrition, sustainable agriculture, food processing, and community food resilience.

As an Islamic university committed to the principles of Budaya Akademik Islami (BudAI) and the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, UNISSULA contributes to food security not only through academic research, but also through education, community engagement, student activities, and knowledge transfer to communities and local food producers.

Through research and community engagement programmes, UNISSULA seeks to ensure that knowledge related to food security is accessible beyond the university campus. These activities provide opportunities for communities to obtain practical knowledge and skills that can support food production, food processing, nutrition, food safety, and sustainable livelihoods.
